The film is set in Lucknow and centers on Mamta Mishra (played by Divya Khosla), a wealthy and intelligent single mother who is struggling financially while raising her young son and taking care of her mother-in-law.
Mamta’s life takes a dramatic turn when she finds the stolen smartphone of a powerful and corrupt businessman named Abhishek Verma (played by Neil Nitin Mukesh). After unlocking the phone, Mamta finds that it contains highly sensitive information, including details of a major government scam and some potentially compromising videos. Seeing an opportunity to change her fate, the seemingly simple but cunning Mamata decides to use this information to her advantage and starts blackmailing Abhishek.
This begins a relentless and darkly comical cat-and-mouse chase between the two. Abhishek, a plain-spoken conman, tries to outwit Mamta, often involving a corrupt police inspector and other shady characters. But Mamta is always one step ahead, using her sharp wit and cunning to win the game.
As the story unfolds, the audience is left wondering whether Mamta’s actions are simply a ploy for quick money or if there is a deeper motivation, perhaps a revenge plot, behind her “smart woman” (Chatur Naar) character. The film is a mix of comedy, suspense and social satire, showing Mamta’s transformation from a survivalist to a figure who challenges the powerful elite.
