Mithra Mandali is a new Telugu comedy film directed by Vijayender S. The movie stars Priyadarshi, Niharika NM, Rag Mayur, and Vishnu Oi in lead roles. It tells the story of a group of friends who spend their days doing nothing much. Their peaceful, useless lives turn upside down when one of them falls in love with a politician’s daughter. What follows is a series of silly events filled with chaos and confusion.
The film tries to be a light-hearted comedy that you can enjoy without thinking too much. It pokes fun at social issues, caste politics, and small-town life in a funny way. Some jokes land well and get a few laughs, but many scenes feel stretched and loud. After a point, the humour starts to wear off, and the film struggles to keep you entertained all the way through.
Priyadarshi fits his role as the lazy young man, but he doesn’t do anything new compared to his earlier films. Niharika NM looks charming on screen but is let down by weak writing. The supporting cast — including Vennela Kishore and Satya — bring a few fun moments, but overall, no one really stands out. Everyone seems to be repeating what they have already done before.
On the technical side, Mithra Mandali feels just average. The editing and camera work are simple, and a few mistakes are hard to miss. However, RR Dhruvan’s music adds some rhythm and energy, especially in the background score. A few scenes are funny and lively, but they don’t come often enough to hold the film together.
In the end, Mithra Mandali turns out to be a noisy, over-the-top comedy that works only in bits and pieces. It wants to be a fun, mindless entertainer, but it ends up dragging and losing steam. You might get a few laughs, but don’t expect much more. It’s the kind of film you can watch once if you leave your expectations — and your brain — at home.
