Actor Sivakarthikeyan is all set for the release of his new film Madharasi, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is one of the biggest projects in his career and is creating a lot of buzz before its release on September 5. Recently, the team has been busy with audio launches and pre-release events in Chennai and Kochi, where fans turned up in huge numbers to cheer for their star.
At the Chennai audio launch, composer Anirudh Ravichander performed live and even made Sivakarthikeyan dance to the lively “Salambala” song. The highlight of the evening came when Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan hugged each other on stage, showing their close bond. Both of them spoke about their long friendship, recalling how they worked together on films like Ethirneechal and many others. Their heartfelt words and playful teasing made fans emotional and excited.
A special pre-release event was also held at Lulu Mall in Kochi, where Sivakarthikeyan spoke warmly to his Malayali fans. He thanked them for always supporting him, right from Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam to recent hits like Doctor and Amaran. He also wished everyone Onam greetings and said he was proud that Madharasi would release during the festival season. Sivakarthikeyan promised that the film, which the team worked on for over a year, is full of action, love, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, director AR Murugadoss revealed an interesting detail about the film. He shared that many years ago, he had narrated the basic idea of Madharasi to Shah Rukh Khan, who had liked it. However, the project did not move forward at that time. Later, Murugadoss felt that Sivakarthikeyan was the perfect fit for the story because of his energy and versatility, and developed the film around him. This revelation has added even more curiosity to the project.
With Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, Rukmini Vasanth as the heroine, and Biju Menon and Vidyut Jammwal in key roles, Madharasi promises to be a complete entertainer with a strong social message. The events in Chennai and Kochi, the emotional speeches, and the warm connection with fans have all set the stage for a grand release. Now, all eyes are on September 5 to see how Sivakarthikeyan and Murugadoss bring this much-awaited film to life on the big screen.
