It seems to be the year of sequels for Ajay Devgn. After the success of Raid 2, the actor is now ready with De De Pyaar De 2. The trailer of the film has just come out, and it continues the story of Aashish and Ayesha from where the first part ended. This time, the focus is on Aashish meeting Ayesha’s parents and trying to win their approval.
In the trailer, Aashish finds himself in an awkward spot when Ayesha’s parents, played by R. Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor, realise he is almost as old as her father. What starts off as a polite meeting soon turns into a series of funny and emotional moments. There’s also a new character, played by Meezaan Jafri, who is brought in by Ayesha’s parents to create trouble for Aashish.
The first film showed Aashish trying to make peace with his own family and his ex-wife Manju, played by Tabu. In this sequel, the tables have turned — now Aashish has to prove himself to Ayesha’s family. The movie is directed by Anshul Sharma and written by Luv Ranjan, who is known for his fun and modern take on relationships.
Ajay Devgn said at the trailer launch that he doesn’t mind doing sequels if the story is strong. He also mentioned how much he enjoyed working with Luv Ranjan and the team again. De De Pyaar De 2 will hit theatres on November 14, and with its mix of humour, family drama, and romance, it promises to be another light-hearted entertainer from Devgn.
